Boston

When I was homeless, I lacked perspective and my life was spent watching my footsteps with nothing but the things on my back and a beating heart.  I was motivated to change that life and then I found A Ray of Hope.  I accepted it’s concept at first glance.  I have seen many people come and go who don’t pass the test.  All you have to do is be a good person.

When I was on the streets, I wished I had a bible simply to replenish my deadened senses with something more than empty pavement. I also craved something to eat, a bed, and a bathroom/shower.

When you are homeless, you are blessed to find a good hiding spot where you aren’t bothered. These were not driving forces out there, where sleep was a luxury for an hour at a time, but these things are here and the very things I needed.

I now have a job and I can save for an apartment.  I no longer rely on people who I don’t know to let me sleep in their bathroom in order to get out of the cold and the rain.  I now have hope and will   remain in it.
