Son of Our Father

I am Joseph Pein, Son of our Father, Jesus Christ.  I am the father of two, Declan Joseph, our son and Ella Grace, our daughter. Thank you, Jesus, for these blessings.

I was born in La Grande Ronde Hospital and raised in Union County, OR.  I came from a broken home, and I was born with a sinful nature.  I chose the world over God. I medicated with drugs and suffered from lust, pride, anger, loneliness, and SIN!

I surrendered my life over to God through Jesus Christ, our Lord.  I sought the Lord, He heard, He answered.  I slowly started to get the word of God.  But soon I was overcome with sin, worldliness, greed, hate, anger, and PRIDE! That led me right to the pits of hell.  I cried out to God in the midst of my darkness. HE HEARD, and He answered.

Still in the darkness, still in my sin, I didn’t know what to do.  I didn’t know where to go or who to talk to.  God showed me a path, and I saw light.  A Ray of light that gave me hope, A Ray of Hope.  A Ray of Hope gave me a hand up with shelter, food, a structured environment built around Biblical principles and a practical foundation to walk with the Lord. A foundation to be a light to others.

God and A Ray of Hope restored my life, my relationships, my family, my character, and my HOPE!  I cannot express the gratitude I owe to God, A Ray of Hope, all the staff members, and the Christian brothers and sisters who reside at A Ray of Hope.

I would like to give a special thanks to all the people who donate their time and prayers for us not to mention those who support us monetarily.  I love the opportunity to go out into the community and helping those in need with a hand up as well.

Revelations 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

I Had No Idea

When I was 8 years old, I was walking out of my bedroom, passing my mother’s room down the hall. I could see the lights on in the kitchen. I heard a very strong man’s voice coming from her room, and
