Baptism by Christy

Hi everyone, I wanted to share an experience I had recently that I found meaningful. Following my baptism on August 23rd, that night I had a dream in which I saw a folded piece of paper being stamped with a gold seal that, when being pressed, caused a distinct sound that woke me up suddenly. Curious about the significance of this, I looked up the purpose of seals. Historically, seals of clay or wax were used to ensure the security of documents as well as other items, serve as a symbol of authentication, and act as a legally binding signature. The gold color signified that it originated from a high authority. Looking to Scripture, I came across Ephesians 1:13–14:"And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory. "Heard". Believed. Sealed. This was a deeply encouraging message for me. It is a reminder that regardless of shifting emotions or circumstances, the Holy Spirit is present to guide, empower, convict, and comfort us. We need the Holy Spirit to help us understand, apply, live out, and share the wisdom of God's Word. We cannot self-certify; we are chosen by the Father, redeemed through the Son, and sealed with the Holy Spirit.
