Born and Raised

Hi, my name is Juliet. I was born and raised in the Flathead Valley. I grew up loving the Lord and wanting to live my life for him, but ended up down the wrong path in high school. I’ve been fighting a serious drug addiction for almost half of my life. I’ve had some good periods of sobriety over the past several years, but never really was able to find a solid community. After a year or two, I would find myself isolated and end up making the same mistakes. At the Ray of Hope, I feel like I finally have everything I need to be able to stay on a positive path forward, staying sober and living my life for the Lord. After being away from the valley for several years, it feels right to be home, and the people in this community truly feel like family. I really appreciate how they genuinely just want to help us recover and build healthy lives, opposed to other sober livings I had been to in the past that seemed like they were just trying to make a profit. It makes me feel hopeful for the future to know that even once I move on from here, the relationships I have built will still be a part of my support system going forward. My favorite part of being here is that we have bible studies several times throughout the week. It helps me keep my eyes fixed on the Lord. Also, it is such a great opportunity to fellowship with my family here and learn more about the Word and how to build a life established on the Rock.

Ephesians 4:22-24 “You were taught with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on your new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”
